As I sit here on my laptop, cuddled up in my husbands comfy chair with the fireplace roaring and the snow blowing outside I am reminded of how thankful I am that my kids are home for Thanksgiving Break. I glance across the room at my 21 year old son. He is a college soccer player, very fit, and very manly. However, he is currently sitting on the couch watching Beauty and the Beast, giggling while face timing his girlfriend. My sweet, Catholic school 15 year old daughter is upstairs loudly teaching herself Highway to Hell on her electric guitar. (Oh, please Lord, don’t let her figure out Ozzy Osbourne). Meanwhile my 18 year old son is home from college, too, and he is belting out his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner into my daughters microphone in her room. (while she is playing highway to hell and yelling at him to shut up). One 16 year old son is laying in his bed watching Rocky on netflix, while the other is sleeping through all of this crazy. I love my unique, authentic, loud, fun family but I think I’m gonna need some wine. Whoops, I guess I gotta go. The boys came down and now there is a wresting match starting in the kitchen, & the dog is on the table eating somebody nachos. Ok, let's go Chardonnay... we got this.
